A legacy of caring and commitment.
The Beginning
Professionals Advocate Insurance Company (ProAd), formerly Mid-Atlantic
Medical Insurance company, was created in 1985 as a subsidiary of MEDICAL
MUTUAL Liability Insurance Society of Maryland. Our original goal
was to provide liability insurance for non-physician health care providers in Maryland. A
large number of dentists joined at that time. In 1991, our goal was broadened to allow
ProAd to offer the same quality coverage and service Maryland physicians received from MEDICAL MUTUAL
to health care providers in Virginia and Washington, D.C.
